Carmex

Carmex was invented in 1937 by Alfred Woelbing in Milwaukee who needed a good product to heal his own chapped lips. Alfred drove around in his car selling Carmex from his tailgate and the only marketing that was done was to spread the word about a good product. Carmex is no longer manufactured at home in Alfred's kitchen, but is now made at Carma Laboratories in Franklin, Wisconsin and sold worldwide.
